Three boats turned out on a typical gusty Windermere-type day with strong squalls, calms and winds from every direction. Renegade overtook Alchemy early on and held on to the end... but not quite the very end. Jailbreak had been steadily reeling in the two boats who started earlier and managed to take a deserved lead in the last 5 minutes of the race, improvising round the last mark in very changeable light airs.
